Our fleet
Color Line operates four international ferry routes between seven ports in Norway, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. Our fleet of five modern vessels is designed for efficient and reliable transport of passengers and cargo, combining operational performance with high standards for safety, capacity and onboard services.
Fleet operations and capacity
On the Kiel–Oslo route, the cruise ferries offer a broad range of onboard facilities, including restaurants, retail and conference spaces.
On the routes Hirtshals–Kristiansand, Hirtshals–Larvik and Strömstad–Sandefjord, the vessels are designed for efficient short-sea crossings, ensuring reliable passenger and freight transport.

Color Fantasy and Color Magic
Color Fantasy and Color Magic services the route Kiel–Oslo. The crossing takes 20 hours.
Color Fantasy operates between Kiel and Oslo and is, together with its sister ship Color Magic, the world’s largest cruise ship with a car deck. See information about the route Kiel–Oslo here.

SuperSpeed 1 and SuperSpeed 2
SuperSpeed 1 and SuperSpeed 2 service the routes Hirtshals–Kristiansand and Hirtshals–Larvik, with crossing times of 3 hours 15 minutes and 3 hours 45 minutes.
SuperSpeed 1 operates between Hirtshals and Kristiansand. The ship was built in 2007 and was upgraded and modernised in 2011. See information about the route Hirtshals–Kristiansand here.

Color Hybrid
Color Hybrid services the route Strömstad–Sandefjord. The crossing takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.
In 2019 we welcomed Color Hybrid on the route between Sandefjord and Strömstad. The ship is the world’s largest plug-in hybrid ship. See information about the route Sandefjord–Strömstad here.
In February 2017, Color Line signed a contract with Ulstein Shipyard to build the world’s largest plug-in hybrid ship. This hybrid operates between Sandefjord and Strömstad and was ready in 2019. The shiphave full battery operation in and out of the fjord to Sandefjord inner harbour. This means that the ship has no emissions of damaging greenhouse gases into the air and noise is considerably reduced. 100 meters from the ship, the noise is as loud as a normal conversation between two people.
