Color Line Cargo offers transport solutions for oversized and heavy project cargo, including both static and rolling units. Our services are designed to ensure safe and efficient handling of out-of-gauge cargo, supported by dedicated equipment and experienced operations teams.
Routes, handling and equipment
Project cargo services are primarily available on the Oslo–Kiel route, where dedicated facilities and equipment are available at both terminals. Availability on other routes depends on cargo specifications.
We provide specialised handling solutions tailored to the requirements of heavy and oversized cargo, including:
- Dedicated receival areas for project cargo in Oslo and Kiel
- Access to lifting equipment for heavy and out-of-gauge units
- MAFI trailers for transportation of static cargo
- Loading and unloading solutions for both rolling and static units
- Infrastructure designed for safe stowage and handling of large cargo
The terminal in Kiel offers direct access to major road and rail networks, and customs clearance services are available where required.
